Does a Judge need to have (and this is a technical term, so bear with me) a Heartbeat in order to render decisions?In a landslide decision (full majority), The Supreme Court has decided that a Judge must (indeed) be alive in order to render Judgement.
The case is slightly more technical than that... but only slightly. In short, despite a Judge's intent (or a Court's belief of a Judge's intent), if the Judge in question should die before the Verdict is finalized, any Judgement (participation, or vote) of the Judge in question is Void.
It's pretty Open and Shut.
