- 1 Cup Bacon Grease
- from cooking a full package
- I did not measure
- 1 Cup Brown Sugar
- hard as a rock
- harder
- hardest
- I did not measure
- it was a generous cup-size rock
- ¼ Cup Milk
- I did not measure
- Why start now?
- added in dribs and drabs to soften brown sugar
- but most went into the eggs
- 3 Eggs
- Exactly!
- No More!
- No Less!
- 2 teaspoons Cornstarch
- Exactly!
- but it could have been more
- hard to see how it would be worth the effort if it were less
- 2 Cups Oatmeal
- Who measures?
- 45min at 350°
Grease, Sugar, and Milk to one bowl and mixed up, breaking apart Brown Sugar however I could.
Eggs whisked good, adding Milk, and Cornstarch, after doing that paste thing.
Oatmeal to Sugar Mix to gauge quantity, as this is what the sugar mostly needs to sweeten. Does it seem right?
Finally, I added the Egg Mixture to The Oatmeal Glop, mixed lightly (and/or thoroughly), and poured the lot back into the pan in which I had slow-baked The Bacon and from which The Grease originated.
Pecan Pie Like!
Very Sweet!
Great w/ Vanilla Ice Cream!
I am very pleased!
