Brown Rice
1 Cup Brown Rice
2 Cups Water
Cook Via The Usual Method
Tom Kha Ga
- 1 Can Coconut Milk
- The less water and the more calories, the better.
- 1 Teaspoon Lemon Grass Puree
- The dregs of a squeeze tube.
- So, it could have been a lot more.
- 1 Teaspoon Soy Sauce
- Maybe more.
- Maybe less.
- ¼ Teaspoon Fish Sauce
- See above.
- 3 Tablespoons Lemon Juice
- It came out of a bottle.
- I gave that bottle two big squeezes.
- If this dish has a secret ingredient, it is the Lemon Juice.
- ⅛ Teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes
- To Taste.
- It's all to taste.
- Of course, I won't taste this until it's done.
- I trust my instincts.
- And if not, it's already too late.
- 3 Green Onions
- Mainly, because we had them.
- Cilantro would have been better.
Vegetable Medley
From frozen, so figure it out.
Jumbo Shrimp
Boiled in water.
Viola!
Jumbo Shrimp Tom Kha Ga!
Oh, everything was prepared in separate pots. So, it's just a matter of combining everything onto a single plate... or large bowl. Personally, I'll use Pie Plates (as one might bake a Pie in), as they work well as a Man Sized Bowl.
Hey, look at me!
I'm going Paleo!
Tasty. But not great. I will blame the watery Coconut Milk.
I am turning the leftovers into Fried Rice, which I will write-up separately.
